pokemon challenges are fun little spins on the 'typical' pokemon gameplay experience. there is so much to do in each and every pokemon game - really, it boggles my mind consistently. i wanted to have one page listing all of the pokemon challenges that i've taken on for easy access, kind of like a directory of sorts. i might talk at length about these challenges on my site or they might be more personal in nature - nonetheless, i want a record of them all!!

i caught one shiny pokemon before each badge in leafgreen! leafgreen is an older gen. as such, i had a 1/8192 chance of finding each and every one of the shinies in this challenge. this was my first completely full odds badge quest challenge, as methods for increasing my odds of running into a shiny were totally unavailable!

i caught one shiny pokemon before each badge in my copy of alpha sapphire! this was my very first badge quest, so i used a mix of both full odds and method hunts in this challenge. since alpha sapphire is a modern generation, my odds of running into a shiny at full odds were 1/4096 - but some of my methods improved on these odds. to balance out my use of methods, i decided to catch extra shiny pokemon: one for each member of the pokemon league!

silver is my favourite pokemon character of all time. in order to express my adoration for his character, i devoted my copy of heartgold to catching full odds shinies of all his game universe pokemon!

i love baby pokemon, so i decided i would take on a copy of ultra moon with a team of baby pokemon! this challenge is in the form of liveposts on my bluesky account. i linked to the relevant hashtag just in case you'd like to keep up with it!

i've gone on and on about the ribbon master challenge - which entails getting every possible in-game ribbon and mark on one (1) pokemon - to the point that i have a whole page dedicated to it, along with multiple blog entries and a hall of fame.
