mew is an absolute classic. when i realised i could use a japanese copy of emerald version with the old sea map in order to NOT ONLY experience an INCREDIBLE event for the first time, but ALSO get a shiny one via rng manipulation... i simply knew what had to be done. but just getting this mew would never be enough; not when it was in a prime position for a ribbon master journey.

honestly, aspects of the old sea map event felt kind of like i was living within a playground rumor of how you run into mew. it was a true testament to the legends that surround these mythical pokemon - so impressive that they spill beyond the contents of a game and into reality itself.

i named my shiny mew 'canto' as a reference to both poems/songs as well as the kanto region! i cherish them so much and am so grateful to have them as a member of my collection. my fingers are crossed that the mightiest mark mew event will get a re-run so that i can get the mightiest mark on them!
