totodile in the pokedex!
first of all, you might be wondering... just what is a pokédex? essentially, it is an encyclopedia for pokémon; a pokémon index. i think bulbapedia sums up its role in the pokémon universe very, very well!
the pokédex is an invaluable tool to trainers in the pokémon world. it gives information about all pokémon in the world that are contained in its database, although it differs in how it acquires and presents information over the different media. [...] pokédex entries typically describe a pokémon in only two or three sentences. they may give background information on the habitat or activities of a pokémon in the wild or other information on the pokémon's history or anatomy. pokédex entries also include height, weight, cry, footprint (prior to generation vi), location, other forms, and a picture of the pokémon.
— the pokedex article on bulbapedia
pokédex entries have always been a huge interest of mine, as they vary from game-to-game based on whatever discoveries have been made about the pokémon in that generation. while some pokémon tend to have the same entry reworded over time, it's really cool to see the similarities as well as the differences!
furthermore, beyond the text of the pokédex entries themselves, i also really enjoy looking at how the entries are presented. they give some awesome insight into the 'hardware' of the generation's pokédex. so i decided to go on a bit of a quest to amass a collection of hd pokédex entries for my favourite pokemon, totodile! this ended up growing to encompass encyclopedic profiles for totodile in games beyond the core series of as well. i figured that this site was the perfect place to host this collection, so here it is!
the screenshots gathered on this page are all from the games mentioned in their descriptions! i got help with getting some of them, so please check out the end of the page to see the awesome people who added to this collection. i'm still missing a few totodile entries beyond the core pokémon game series, and i am looking out for those so that i can add them to this page someday. if totodile is mentioned in another game and you'd be willing to provide a high-quality screenshot, feel free to let me know! i hope you enjoy the collection!

little but feisty is the best description for these water-type pokémon.
the first thing they do when they see something move is latch onto it with their powerful jaws. totodile was one of the three pokémon that professor elm offered to trainers in pokémon gold, silver, and crystal. they evolve into croconaw.
super smash bros. brawl
super smash bros. brawl text:
a big jaw pokemon. this alligator-like pokemon stands on two legs. it has a small body but an impressive jaw that boasts potent bite power. it can do serious damage to someone even if it's just playing. its tendency to chomp down on anything that moves in front of it means trainers have to be extra cautious around it. when it levels up, it evolves into croconaw.
